In New York Peter Venkman (Bill Murray), Ray Stantz (Dan Aykroyd) and Egon Spengler (Harold Ramis) are three scientists at the department of psychology at Columbia University who are dedicated to the study of the paranormal. But when the grant ends they are fired. So Venkman suggests that they own a business but have no money to lend and inaugurate a ghost exterminator called "Ghostbusters."
