Ollie Trinke (Ben Affleck) is a Manhattan music publicist who seems very successful to have everything I ever wanted in life. When his perfect life is tragically taken aback by the death of his wife Gertrude (Jennifer Lopez), Ollie becomes overnight a single father and totally unqualified. Ollie leaves his life in the big city behind and reluctantly moved into the house of his father (George Carlin) in suburban New Jersey, where he was raised.
