Interesting. Watching the fight live last weekend, I actually thought Manny lost by 3-4 rounds. Re-watching the bout just now in HD (first time seeing the HBO broadcast), I scored it 6-6 rounds dead even (Lederman’s scorecard had Pac ahead for nearly the entire fight). Clearly, these guys are a precise match for eachother. However, Pacquiao was the aggressor almost all the way through (he just got counterpunched expertly by Marquez). Also, Pac’s footwork and ring generalship were on point. And well, if the fight is that close throughout, the champ will get the edge on the scorecards (one of the perks of being on top). Although I'd like to think that Manny toned things down a bit to lure Floyd into finally facing him (and "Money" has now expressed great interest in making the fight happen next year). Congrats Pac. Tough loss Marq. Now bring on Mayweather in May!
