The blu ray add anything to it visually? Or is it just the extras on it that make it a better package overall??

I don't think it adds much visually, the DVD release looked great. And considering its a film from 1960, it was already looking spectacular. Most of the extras seem to be the same as the anniversary dvd release from several years ago.

Nice to know. Just bought a second hand copy of the essential collection with the birds, vertigo and rear window. So just wanted to know if blu ray added anything extra. :-)
