“One of DVDs available to watch in this rental apartment. Been making my way through it during down times. As excellent as ever.”
“A rainy late afternoon meant movie time. Shown in English (with French subtitles). Wes Anderson does it again. LOVED it and can't wait to see it again.”
Mos definitely. I hope I didn't oversell it. It was aiiight ;-). Indeed very neat to see a film that's in competition at the Cannes Film Fest while so near to the festival. Seems the neighbouring towns get a peek at the films too. Cronenberg's Cosmopolis starts today but I won't have time to see it.
“Only get 4 English channels on this TV, so there's been much BBC News watching as a result. C'est la vie. Surprised to see a story on the LA Kings' return the Stanley Cup finals.”
“Caught 4 total Community episodes in the planes earlier. Along with the one I previously checked into, this was my favourite. The Bottle Episode re: Annie's pen. So goddamned good.”
“Belated check-in. Watched this classic 90s indie comedy on a flight earlier. Was pleasantly surprised by the variety of good old and new films and TV to choose from. The director's best film.”
“This flight has a boatload of season 2 episodes. Think I'll enjoy some classic Dan Harmon (*sigh*) era Community faves. Love the layered conspiracies in this episode (and blanket fort fun).”
“Found a restaurant showing the game in the T.O. airport during a lengthy layover. Started watching mid-way through the 3rd quarter, which is when a Miami stepped up it seems (in this absolute must-win game).”
“Season finale (? but assuming a second half will start up soon enough) "Token, are you stoked?" Always like when they give Token something to do (aside from living up to his name). Cartman doing his best matchmaking. ”
Cartman playing gay to ensure proper race mixing. Love is like taking a dump. Rumours getting out of control (Three's Company style). "I Swear" cover by Cartman. Nichole's Dad concerned. "Just try the white meat". Cupid Me so playful....until Eric beats senselessly. Soft Serve laxatives. Nuggets and Clippers animated South Park style! Ta-Dow Popcorn. Cartman brilliantly sabotaging Kyle. Really good episode.
“Recorded the Sacha Baron Cohen interview, out of character with this comedy genius. Sacha notes that it doesn't pay for him to go out in public too often. Diane Keaton/Anette Benning confusion. ”
“Typical Karl day is surely uneventful. "What doesn't annoy you?" QuasimotoKarl. Heavy handed Suzanne. Socks cut off your freedom. Working class worms. ”
“Skipped this episode when it aired by accident. Catching up now. Thankfully it doesn't matter what order you watch this series in. Karl very ambivalent towards the armed forces. Mother Pilkington with a pet spider. Great army animations.”
Love how the Pilkington family all have a bit of Karl to their look. Velcro shoes do make sense. Karl's so very brave with his pain tolerance. I can relate to Karl's priority of keeping his pie warm. "Curtains are still a-switchin', no one's a-helpin'". "Where do you live?!" Looses lips sink ships. Karl's bro messing with some violent German women.
“All good things must come to an end. Including the 3rd season of a television program I adore. Picking up where the prior episode left off. Another Dean outfit for any occasion. Shirley and Pierce getting heated over the sandwich shop. Great drop-in fr...”
... from Leonard, who’ll take any press he can get. Evil Abed back in the mix. A/C school not impressing Troy yet. Will Greendale Court by poolside again? Britta daring to enter the Dreamatorium. A really fun recurring guest star from this season dies. R.I.P.V.P. Unexpected return of Rob Corddry as Jeff’s ex-lawyer buddy. Excessive teat-tugging. Darkest timeline callbacks. “No furths”. Evil Abed expertly turning the tables on Britta. So much evil as he walks the halls. Dennis too enthusiastic in his A/C repair contest intro. Another impassiomed speech from Mr.Winger. Troy proving his expertise. “Cool. I went crazy and wanted to cut off Jeff’s arm”.
Excellent concluding montage set to a fuller version of the opening theme song. Brief appearance from the rival City College Dean w/ Chang lurking in the background (revenge on the mind). Well, well, well look who isn’t so dead. Searchsies.com Dreamatorium redecoration/relocation. The return of Leonard’s Food Review!! Such a fantastic season this was. Already looking forward to the 13 episode fourth season. #sixseasonsandamovie #pleaseohplease
“Game has been on in the background for almost its entirety. Time to sit down and focus in on how the final quarter plays out. 73-73 LAL currently. Looks like this one's going down to the wire. Go Thunderers!”
“As I'm going away for a while I feel the need to see all of last night's episodes to ensure I'm still engaged in the cultural zeitgeist of under-rated cult comedies. After the prior standalone episode, we're back to G7/Chang/Dean serialized storyline now”
The only cop in town is listening to the G7 plead their case. Still say that’s “Fauxby” as Fake Dean. Britta hates cops. Well-timed “Copera”. Chang Dynasty keeps things on lock. So many medals of honour. Annie’s covert spy outfit. Is this the same Mexican restaurant the Dean took Jeff too? Looks like we have an Ocean’s Eleven style heist on our hands. Abed agrees. Swami Pierce is ret to go. “This girl in Chicago won’t stop Facebooking me. Looks like J-Swag’s going Deep Dish” (I lost it at that line). Troy and Abed doing their best Brooklyn accents ovah here. Criss Angel... errr Ricky Nightshade and his fine assistant have entered the party. “I’m in.” “I know.” The pixie has left the toadstool. Plumber Abed with so many wife problems. Nice Napoleon outfit.
Dean with the imprisoned bearded look. Fire ain’t no ghost. Chang-xel Foley key-tar solo ahead. I approve of Pierce’s distraction technique. Dean down to party with Jeff of course. “You foiled me for the last time”. Fake Moby has a hard life. “I’LL sit on it”. “Yard Margs”? Will Gilbert from the prior episode be buying? Troy embarking on a new path. Pierce prefers to ride bareback. Troy pulling a Bill Murray from Lost in Translation on Abed. Dean Laybourne welcoming with open intimidating arms. Dean totally in his element at his own rave. First hour of the finale complete. As Dre said, it’s time for the next episode.
“Tina now into imagining erotic friend fiction (co-starring zombies). Skidmarks = smelly-stripes. "Don't have a crap attack" is the new Don't have a cow?”
Gene concerned about the lousy data plan on the family cell phone. Tina's new friend Tammy is a hormonal bad influence. Nice laugh-fart. "If you're gonna be loud, you GOTTA be proud". Kids getting drunk of margaritta mix. "I wanna hear some FM!" Tina's dancing is hilarious. Tina's procelin horse's name: Horselin. B-story re: Bob getting obsessed with patty-caking is absurdly amusing. Gene with the line of the night: "Is that a dinosaur over your tar-pit?" re: Tina's dino trap stamp. Butt-touching friend fiction went over well. Enjoyed Jenny Slate as the new best friend/enemy of Tina.
When in France (awesome). Next time you see this, let me know (it's been far too long since my last Wes Anderson theatrical experience).
